For welded parts, we deal with material, shape, availability of welds, handling, continuity with other operations and inspection requirements. The goal is to set up the procedure so that the welding fits into the entire pass of the job and does not create a risk for subsequent surface treatments, assembly or shipping.
Depending on the type of project, the preparation of custom fixtures, small production adjustments, assembly, packaging or coordination with painting, blasting and other processes may also be included.
We assess the condition of the parts, the continuity of previous operations, the availability of welding points, the requirements for accuracy and the method of handling.
For irregular or repetitive jobs, it may make sense to design a fixture that facilitates part setup, inspection, repeatability, and follow-up handling.
